Meet the founder of victorious youth queens

A Houston native and class of 2006 graduate of Thurgood Marshall High School who earned a 4-year volleyball scholarship and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. LaToya achieved the highest prestigious award and was honored for being the Valedictorian of Southern University's Fall 2010 graduate class. After college, LaToya joined the corporate arena where she held roles with increasing responsibilities for some of the major energy companies such as ExxonMobil, Halliburton, and Chevron. She also served as the Co-Leader of the Black Employee Network (BEN) Community Engagement Committee and is a member of the Houston Area Urban League for Young Professionals. She is now the owner of Luxxe Looks by LaToya Hair Studio where she provides a variety of hair and braiding services for clients of all ages.

LaToya is the wife of Don Holloway, Jr. and a mother of two beautiful children (Don Holloway, III and Layla Holloway). She is a strong advocate for giving back to her community and helping others succeed. She believes that if she did not have the village she had to steer her in the right direction in addition to the wise counsel, encouragement, affirmations, and favor from God, she would not be who she is today. It is because of those experiences along with her battle with low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence, and so much more that she felt the need to share her story to help mentor young girls who maybe experiencing those same challenges and need the same encouragement and motivations she had. Her desire to help others win and to help provide the needed resources to support other's dreams is what also inspires her and led her to launch Victorious Youth Queens in February 2017, in partnership with her husband.
