Meet the founder of victorious youth kings

A Port Arthur native and class of 2006 Port Arthur Memorial High School graduate who earned a 4-year football scholarship and a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. Toward the end of his collegiate career, Don participated in the National Pro Day hosted by the NFL (National Football League) hoping to be drafted. But like many, he discovered that wasn't God's plan for his life. He later tried out for the IFL (Indoor Football League) where he was not chosen to play a part of the team, forcing him to choose a different avenue. 

After experiencing what he thought were multiple rejections, was merely a redirection that led him to the Education field. For several years, Don held roles in Special Education and Physical Education, and in 2015, he received the opportunity to be a part of Cleveland ISD coaching staff. 

Shortly afterwards, Don realized that he could use his personal experiences and skills he acquired from the game of football to inspire and mentor the youth as well as mentally and physically prepare them for the trials of life. With this epiphany, he launched Victorious Youth in October 2014.

Initially, his focus was to help young men become better athletes by providing football trainings and skill camps, but he later had a change of heart. Due to the need of mentorship for preteens and teenagers, and the teachings of life skills, he decided to change his focus to mentoring, educating, and empowering the youth to live a holistic and victorious life. 

Don is the husband of LaToya Holloway and father of two wonderful children (Don Holloway, III and Layla Holloway) that he loves dearly. He is currently the Head Coach of the Booker T. Washington High School Football Program where he works diligently to make an impact an lead the team to a successful season. In 2022, Don helped lead the team as the Defensive Line Coach to a 10-0 undefeated season and to achieving the 2022 District Championship Title. Lastly, he is a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.
