Meet the founder of victorious youth kings

A proud native of Port Arthur, Texas, Don Holloway is a 2006 graduate of Port Arthur Memorial High School. He earned a full football scholarship to Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation. During his senior year, Don participated in the National Pro Day hosted by the NFL in hopes of being drafted. Although that path did not materialize, and despite also pursuing a position within the Indoor Football League (IFL), he came to understand that what initially felt like rejection was actually divine redirection.

That redirection led Don to discover his calling in education. He began working in both Special Education and Physical Education, and in 2015, joined the coaching staff at Cleveland Independent School District. It was there that he recognized the powerful opportunity to merge his athletic experience with his passion for youth development. With this realization, Don founded Victorious Youth in October 2014.

Originally launched as a sports-based initiative focused on training young athletes, Victorious Youth quickly evolved into a holistic mentoring program. Don expanded its mission to include teaching life skills, leadership, and character development to preteens and teenagers, with the goal of empowering them to live victorious lives beyond the field.

Today, Don serves as the Head Football Coach at Booker T. Washington High School in Houston, Texas, where he continues to inspire and impact the next generation. In 2022, as the team’s Defensive Line Coach, he helped lead the Eagles to an undefeated 10-0 season and a District Championship Title.

Don is a devoted husband to LaToya Holloway and a proud father of two beautiful children, Don Holloway, III. and Layla Holloway. He is also an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, and remains committed to his mission of mentoring, educating, and uplifting youth through faith, discipline, and purpose.
